I think this picture captures the essence of what it is to be able to combine the spawn menu of Garry's mod with the HL2 world:
Here I've been messing with the elastic rope property, making a crude BUT DEADLY sawblade tetherball.
See the tetherball in action:

...CHOP!
The game's crashed 5 times, it pretty much can't handle anything that usually happens in singleplayer but probably isn't covered in multiplayer--most of my crashes were caused by sawblades chopping a zombie low, leaving it with the torso-zombie portion. IMMEDIATE CRASH. It also crashed pretty much everywhere else; also the spawn point is the map start, so every time I died/reloaded the map, I had to start from spawn outward. In other words, Garry's mod isn't suitable for real singleplayer. I'm still reading their forums trying to get all the info I need, because this really has potential, though it's really not there yet. My next goal is to somehow gain stability, then: create, use working numchucks. I think a lot of game design decisions could be solved if more designers asked "But could this game use MORE NUMCHUCKS?" They totally can. |
