Anyone catch this show Wednesday nights on WB? Anyway if not: it's some deal that Ashton Kutcher of all people produced where the "big idea" is to pair seven geeks with seven beautiful women and try to have them teach each other something. For example, tonight's (OOPS I MEAN YESTERDAY'S) episode involved the guys teaching the girls basic auto maintenance and the girls teaching the guys how to give a massage. It's pretty standard reality show stuff except the captions for the guys entail little tidbits such as, "Never kissed a girl," and "Never been on a date." The guys complain about the girls ("They're making me dumber") and the girls complain about the guys ("They don't have lives and we do").
But the only true geek on there seems to be a guy named Richard. He wears these huge glasses and walks with the hunched over mannerisms of a true computer-glued nerd. At one point he smears dirt on his nose and stalks around the house wearing a sign which reads, "I wish to form an alliance -- take nothing I do or say seriously." At another he whines that his shoulders "must be damaged" from his girl's attempted massage. It's worth a coupla laughs -- at least until somebody kicks Richard off. |
