Also, random spam mail must be running out of ideas. I mean past the ones that want me to take out a home loan, there's the Nigerian industrialist stories. Now this one:

IAN
THIS IS MR.SALICA,NIK,S FATHER.
I AM CONTACTING TH POLICE ABOUT THIS MATTER AS WELL AS GIVING THEM YOUR NAME UNLESS I HEAR FROM MY DAUGHER BY 3;00 O CLOCK

Wow. Just wow.
Well It's food time, assuming TH POLICE don;t get me, we'll talk more wed.

August 19

Remember the little message I got about kidnapping some guys daughter? I guess that wasn't actually a spam mail but instead a delightful memo from a very poor typist. I'll let Mr. Ian Hall explain:

Hi! First, let me open by saying I'm usually a very regular reader, though I can get a little behind during the summers when I'm on dialup. Anyway, I was reading through the past few comics I missed when I noticed your entry on random spam on July 28th. I can tell you exactly who that mail is from and the story behind it, which has subsequently made everything inthe past few weeks seem worthwhile.

So, here's the story. My girlfriend Nikki came down to spend a few days with me and didn't tell her parents quite where she was going. They flipped out and eventually figured out that she was with me. Since my name is Ian too, her father must have somehow found your site on Nikki's logs (she also reads your comic) and assumed you were me, and sent you that wonderfully grammatical and sophisticated email. Seeing our drama play out almost randomly on a total stranger's website has got to be one of the most amusing experiences of my life. I can't thank you enough for this half hour of hysterical laughter, and the consistant enriching goodness of your comic.
We apologize for the inconvenience,
Ian

(PS: The man who sent you that email is a lawyer. That's right, a lawyer with the typing skillz of a 6 year old.)

No need for apologies, that's pretty damn funny.
