Savage was just another fringe element brought to the surface, Buchanan-style, by a media that knows that right-wingers will watch anyone that isn't a flaming leftist no matter how objectionable they are in the aggregate (see: Fox news).

Last I checked, though, supplying the Iraqis with propaganda as the crowning achievement in a lifetime filled with slanderous and unsubstantiated attacks against the US government (when there are so many legitimate reasons to criticize it) is a slightly worse offense; of course, you WOULD be an Arnett fanatic.
