Remembering the law classes I took, if it has obvious satirical value, its generally protected and will be upheld in most any court in the US. That fact alone will not deter people from filing something against you because they feel insulted, just that their chances of winning and collecting damages are slim.

We also aren't of a scale that is losing the game companies any money. Even Erik at his height did not likely put a dent in John Romero's pocketbook. Without quantifiable damages a case gets even shakier, and goes into crap like psychological trauma; And really, who wants to be the pussy who admits on public record their feelings got hurt by a bunch of anonymous fags on an obscure games site.
