Wow. This may actually usher in gaming's Third Age: where not only is whether the game is fun not the point, developers are now making sure that their game isn't too fun. Thanks, Rand! We can't handle how fun most games are!


According to Rand:

Dark Age of Camelot: Will eventually become unfun because it will eventually get repetitive.
Uru (Jesus fucking Christ -- "Uru?"): Ages Beyond Myst: will not become unfun, because it's never, ever any fucking fun to begin with.

Eventually there is going to be a completely new kind of storage device. Post-DVD, I mean. If past performance is indicative of future results, whoever makes the first game to take advantage of it apparently gets free reign to make one shitty game right after another for nine years thereafter. The race is on!
