Burnout 3: Takedown is, quite simply, the most amount of pure raw fun I've had playing videogames I've had in years. The quantum leap from Burnout 2 to Burnout 3 is indescribable. EVERYTHING is improved: control, graphics, music, production values. Tankers explode when you broadside them now. There are nearly ten times as many crash junctions alone. And the new focus on "takedowns" -- causing rival cars to crash in a slow-motion shower of sparks and sheared metal -- taps into that primordial need inside every man's brain that urges them to run down every single bad driver in sight every time they slip behind the wheel. Or maybe that's just me.
THEY DESERVE IT, THOUGH. The computer harasses you unendingly and it's just fucking BEGGING to be launched off a mountain curve and into a lake. That's what you get, fucker. Shit, I've been playing since 11:30 am or so and just thinking about raping more computer cars makes me want to go play some more.
If anyone cares, I'll expound on this further. Later. After more Burnout 3. |
