"Dawn of the Dead" is being remade by Beast-God 04/14/2003, 6:46pm PDT As much as I despise Hollywood's recent habit of remaking old classics into lame "modernized" retreads, this is a movie I think could benefit from a remake as the message behind it is more relevant today than when it was made and the fact that zombies in 70s clothes alongside cheesy synthesizer music by the Goblins make for a less-than-terrifying experience. The things that worry me: 1) the Guy making it's only previous experience is 30 second commericals 2) they probably will water down the message about the mindlessness of consumerism in order to provide more time for product-placement shots ala. "Josie and the Pussycats" 3) Probable CGI Ejaculation all over the zombies 4) The biker gang may be played by Vin Diesel and a posse of Xtreme Dudes!!!
