It's probably impossible, given that it's his server and such, but Senor Barborito shouldn't be an admin to caltrops, at least not right now. This is not meant in offense to, nor is it an attack on, SB. You just can't do it, man.

On further consideration, maybe demanding that SB step down as admin was too harsh. I don't know. If the site really needs two admins, there obviously isn't anyone else who can do it except the two guys who already are. But this type of shit is going to go on and on forever, and I guess that's just going be part of the character of this site, whether anyone likes it or not. I guess I'll just learn (or re-learn) to like it as well.

What I do know is that caltrops is apparently not close enough to being sufficiently secure to thwart would-be trolls. ES, I thought you said the shields were up? Now I keep seeing all these exceptions to that status.

WTF? Maybe SB should lay off the admin work and concentrate on securing this place. Again, I'm not in the know about that sort of thing. But something has to be done here.

Is everyone here incapable of acting like adults? Can we ever get our shit together? This isn't fucking funny anymore, it's fucking gay. I have some suggestions:

1. A self-imposed restriction of SB posting as an admin. ES is the only mouthpiece for the site. This will no doubt fail, which is why SB shouldn't be an admin.
2. Navel-gazing discussions and repetitive arguments over this site's function should be eliminated, at least the ones pertaining to enforcement of our rules, the rules every other above-board website has.
3. The rules need to be posted CONSPICUOUSLY.
4. If we are going to continue as a user-submitted review site, a conspicuous declaration that clearly states that a writer's submitted works, when submitted and posted by caltrops, become the sole property of caltrops and may be put or taken down at our behest. If this isn't legally possible, then a user-submited site is a stupid fucking idea in the first place.
5. Fix our forum titles so they make some fucking sense. Har har, Operation:Hammer Time. How about we keep TEH FUNAY in our content and inside the forums where they belong?

The ultimatum? Change, or I'm going too. You can keep my stuff if you want, but I can't stomach coming here and reading a billion posts about ourselves every fucking day. You can make a Next Tuesday joke if you want, but I got that new promotion that I babbled about, and I don't have the time to commit to this place as much as I did anyway. It's not that I don't want to, but we need to make some serious fucking changes here, because the state of the site as it is is seriously fucking disappointing.
