One time I met a guy at an SCA event that could contact juggle. That was pretty awesome and I could instantly see the get-laid potential. He thought it was a real art though. :(
The school juggling team came into school's TV studio one day to record a show. I instantly recognized the captain as "the unicycle kid". Kid would ride around everywhere across campus on a unicycle. Biggest attention whore I've ever met, one of those kids that prominently displays all sorts of "wacky" props in the desperate hope that someone will ask him about it. I had a class with him once and he'd always carry (not ride, thankfully) his unicycle into the classroom and would constantly rearrange it against the wall (looking around to see if anyone was taking notice) until someone asked about it. One time the professor asked him where his book was (literatute class) and he announced that all the books were on his PDA, which he proudly held up for the entire class to see.
He always wore black too, if that means something (like jugglers should be put into camps with fencers and fight to the death, winners get gunned down).
BONUS!
During the juggling club's taping, he threw in a bunch of non-juggling stuff, just because it was stuff he could do and it would get him more solo time on camera. He tried riding the unicycle around a 4 foot diameter circle (despite us telling him the studio was too small to try that), falling about 4 times. Then it was twirling around a staff with glo-sticks on the ends around in the dark like some sort of rave (the only thing I could think of the entire time was "the star wars kid!"). The best though was he tried to perform some cirque de soleil style "gymnastics" with some other guy. Instead of being graceful it was two guys in tights taking turns wrapping their legs around each other's necks and bending backwards. The entire camera crew was trying not to crack up and you could hear the guys in the control room howling over the headsets. That whole episode was the first thing that came into my head when the "two fags dancing" forum went up.
I could probably go get a copy of the show. Would anyone be interested in having it up for download? |
