If not eliminate levelling up, at least change around the way it works. I want a system like Crimson Land: upon each new level you get a cool perk. Crimson Land took everything fun about Fallout and crammed it into a 2 minute game. Wasn't choosing perks the funnest part of character developement in Fallout? Why the fuck should I have wait every 3 levels to get one though? Why can't that be my reward EVERY level?
Fuck watching a few numbers that I'm told are my stats increase a little, give me a cool, tangable ability. What the fuck's the point of simply increasing my stats so I can dish out/take more damage if enemies also dish out/take more damage as the game progresses? Just give me more cool things I can do so I have more options to deal with things. |
