Tragically, the rise of digital imagery at home has spread this disease to the corporate world. A project involving, say, an Oracle-based LDAP directory, commissioned by an Israeli company, would get a quarter-page collage, including:

• The client's logo
  
• The shop's logo
  
• Oracle's logo
  
• A photograph (or Visio line-art) of the hardware to be used
  
• An "LDAP logo", except there isn't one. Instead, something evocative of "directories" like the Yellow Pages logo, or maybe just the word "LDAP" in 36-point Arial.
  
• A close-up of someone's face. Or eyes. (thanks, Microsoft)
  
• A star of David
  

This creation would then grace every cover page of every project plan, project proposal, project status report, project projection, project post-mortem, and project-related termination notice.
