The dub, while being naturally and inherently horrible, did fix the original problem in the Japanese version of Misato being in her 30s. That's way too old for anime! So instead, the dubbers make her sound like a fucking dumbass 15 year old girl. That fixes it. Why didn't Japan think of that?
