Some other girl's work was a short story that I guess was supposed to be like a chapter from a romance novel, a poem about not being to go on "without you", and another poem about waking up next to someone the morning after. What the fuck's with gals being so god damn codependent?

A brief survey of the manly-man submitted works in this forum reveals that most of you are secretly girls who get drunk a lot, and that far and away I am the most macho person on Caltrops.

They wear red wings
of rage.
Those Furies in knit separates

They desire the blood of their conquerors.
They would crow with their ravenous thirst,
but are voiceless.
They would cry for their hearts aburst,
but are mute.

I have to submit something in March, and since we can write anything, I'm tempted to just toss in my SS2 review. Because one, I want to get as much a return on my 10 hour investment as possible, two, it'd mean I don't have to spend time writing something new, three, it'd be amusing to see people's reaction, and four, it's a class full of fuglies so I don't have to worry about seeming like a huge geek. "What fictional story did you write for us? A....review? Of a....computer game?.......".

You are too cowardly to write of your loathing for their works, and how uncomfortable they make you with their cloying neediness, except for here. You woman. The weak, pathetic, desperately well-trained women in your class are without shame or taste, but if you have both shame and taste and add to them your obvious disgust, then how can you be incapable of writing what you ought to write - which is to say, a piece on exactly why those girls send shivers down your spine? The topic presents itself easily, you are obviously interested enough to post about it here, it would flatten the class, and best of all they would be unable to touch you - you are sharing your feelings, just as you were forced to share in theirs. It would mark you as something completely different than any of them, instead of some sort of contemptible "male" variant...

...but, certainly, it is neither easy nor cheap, and those are hallmarks of the Fabio Way. You are guilty of the boy's version of the girl's weakness: when girls contend with personal problems they obsess, they believe all their feelings are valid and should be discussed and taken in earnest. It's what they're raised to believe. When boys contend, they mock and avoid and infantilize the problem. This too is training, you know. The boy way is lots more fun for observers, but it is neither more mature nor more substantial than the girl way.

You are a coward, and a hypocrite, and OH BY THE WAY you're a fugly yourself, cochise, so don't think they're trying to impress you either. Linger forever in your self-indulgent backwater or fuckin' grow a set, but in either case don't expect to post shit like this here without getting your ass handed to you by the Orc Queen. You took a class with the hope of becoming a better writer, and now you're chickening out exactly when the opportunity to genuinely improve presents itself to you? You total fag. What did you expect, that you would be ringed with gentle geniuses and kindly angels who would read Strunk and White to you in a soothing voice while you jerked it? By the white-crested testicles of Poseidon, you're like everything that is awful and pathetic about men.
