The best way to play Infocom's Suspended by Ice Cream Jonsey 08/01/2026, 10:29pm PDT zarf is working his way through the Infocom library in his project: "The Visible Zorker". He gave this treatment to Suspended last month. This is what the game box for Suspended looked like. (I had it once.) Creepy! You play the part of a guy woken up during a cryogenic freeze because the science fiction planet that should be running smoothly has a problem and it's up to you to fix it before too many millions of people die. You have six robots to control to try to solve the problem. The game itself came with a map and tokens representing the robots. You don't strictly need them to play and win the game, but when I had the actual game box and stuff, it helped me. But it's this whole thing to put out next to yourself while playing the game, inevitably it ended up on the floor. Enter zarf's crack at Suspended. On the right-most window is a button called "Map." Click it. Having the map as something you can ... just look at, and see the tokens representing the robots is pretty damn cool. I think this is the best way to play the game that I know of.
