| I was taking the ferry one day when I say a young woman with a scar on her forehead. I thought to myself, "I bet she'd like to be raped by pirates." I immediately started work on my Raped by Pirates series of novels, which was picked up by Mary Kay Publishing. The first installment sold 400,000 copies through direct sales. Which was nice.
