Wait, false alarm (?) It's working again. I hope? by Mischief Maker 05/29/2026, 10:01am PDT
I've been using a Kensington Expert Mouse trackball for years and been able to hit two buttons at once with no problem, then last year developed a problem where if I hit two buttons at once they sometimes stick. It's made several games unplayable for me. To fix it I tried:

1. Wipe & Reinstall of Windows 10
2. Flashing the BIOS with latest drivers
3. Replacing it with a brand new mouse of the same model.

Nothing worked, so I was worried the mobo was dying.

Then this morning the internet stopped working, but only for my PC's ethernet connection, every other device was running ethernet just fine. I had to wait a couple hours until everyone in the house was fine with no internet for 10 minutes, then unplugged the modem/router. It seems to be working again, but the light on my mobo's ethernet port is amber while the modem on the opposite end is bright green. I bought a fast speed 1000 blue cord when we upgraded to fiber optic, so it shouldn't be the cord.

Device manager says everything is fine.

Ugh!
