There was a brief window after the 2016 election that I watched The Jimmy Dore Show. Even though I vehemently disagreed with him advocating voting third-party during the general, I found his rage cathartic afterward. Little did I know that he was making up his sources.
During this thread Jimmy Dore released a video where he supposedly found an article that he said conclusively proved there were no chemical weapons attacks. I wanted to cite it in the thread, but he linked nothing in the video description. I pieced together enough context clues from the video itself to find the article, but when I read it myself I realized it said nothing of the kind. Deeply embarrassed, I sheepishly ghosted from this argument.
Shortly after, Jimmy Dore did a video supporting the "Hillary Clinton assassinated Seth Rich" conspiracy and that's when I decided he was full of shit and never watched his show again.
This thread is undoubtedly one of my lowest moments on Caltrops. |
