I am really happy for Sean. And you and the people around here, too, sure. I am confident he could have rebuilt the Saints, but our situation is not so bad. We're on the way up.

Brees got hurt sometimes. There was a stretch under Payton where we went 7-9 in 3 out of 4 years and I think Brees missed one game. Later in his career, when Brees was of course older, Payton made sure that he had good backups. Bridgewater and Winston won some games for us to keep us in the playoff hunt.

I'll make a prediction that Stidham will not lose the game, he won't look overmatched, he won't be the reason the Broncos lose if they lose. There is no way Sean keeps that guy around for this much time if he couldn't play. I will also predict a 30-27 Denver win. What are the odds another game in the playoffs is close??

Also, Jesus, the only thing that matters in the NFL is having a quarterback that can extend plays and make plays. Nothing else matters. You got it, you have a chance. You don't, you might get lucky here and there but that's it. Caleb Williams running back 50 yards and throwing a TD was one of the plays that bring a hater like me back into watching football.

Here is a video of C.J. Stroud calling himself the third best quarterback in the NFL. Guys, he's just going off last year, remember. Third best.
