I feel like nobody in Chiefs fandom knows what tiebreakers are. They still think they're making the playoffs this year, which is such a long shot at this point. Also Nick Wright is a clueless moron -- I accidentally saw part of a segment he did where he was saying the first two losses by the Chiefs were "understandable" since they were against good teams, and it just seemed like a disaster because they'd just lost the super bowl, so it seemed "seismic". (This I guess was part of a mea culpa video.) Well Nick, in my experience, when a team gets blown out in the SB, they usually do not come back the next year. We did it once, after a 38-20 loss to the Giants. But being exposed in the SB and the questions about your team identity that causes, those linger. And if you were exposed like they were, the strategies the winning team employed are gonna be copied (as much as possible) by everyone else. |
