I probably posted this elsewhere, forgive my memory.

I bought Max Payne 3, L.A. Noire and Grand Theft Auto V through Steam when they were new. If there was a Rockstar Launcher at that time in the middle, it didn't matter. I had a Rockstar account registered to my zombieworld.com account and I knew the password.

Years later, Chet killed zombieworld.com. A year after that, I tried to play those three games on Steam. I was asked for my Rockstar name and password. Which I had. But one really, really stupid thing that companies do, that listen to dummies running their fake security division, is to ask for a 2FA code anyway. On a correct password. Just because TIME has passed. Which is exactly what happened here. I couldn't get the code from zombieworld. To, again, go with my correct password.

I tried using Rockstar support. Over the course of a week, they kept asking questions and I got all of them "correct. I gave them the correct answers. Late on a Friday, one of them just said "we can't help you" and they closed the ticket. So I have three games I bought off Steam that I can't access. (Steam's support wouldn't help me either.)

Pretty sure that the games I have on Steam are "tied" to my zombieworld.com account - I had deleted the three of them from my computer. L.A. Noire is only 13 gigs, so I am trying to re-install it to see if it lets me use the Rockstar account I made with an active email.

None of this should be happening. Steam should be enough. I paid for the games, I have my Steam account working. That should be it, and it's a black eye against Valve that this is happening. I have 531,000 "Steam Points." Any normal company would kill for that kind of customer loyalty.

I regret buying those three games on Steam.
