Maybe being obsessed over nick consistency wasn't the solution after all?
I absolutely want to talk games! Here, I'll kick off this Silent Hill discussion:
What makes a proper Silent Hill game?
I think the series has demonstrated that it tips its hand in the first 10 minutes.
SH1- Timeless first 10 minute opening. Still among the greatest.
SH2- Boring nothing first 10 minutes. Read of the game would go on to boring nothing that would poetically only become a good story in the final 10 minutes.
SH3- 7/10 first ten minutes leads into a 7/10 game.
SH4: The Room- An original starting setup that was a little clunky, but you were interested to see where it goes. Game continues being clunky but interesting room developments.
Shattered Memories- SH2's opening was a boring nothing, but at least I remembered what was so boring. Shattered Memories was an absolute zero I can't even remember. Rafiki nailed it.
Homecoming/Downpour- Going through the motions fanfic.
So far, Silent Hill F is giving me the Homecoming/Downpour vibes. Konami wants a product and farmed it out to some fanfic team. Trying to seem like a fresh setting but coming off as a stale Fatal Frame knockoff like DreadOut.
