I read in one of the articles about the Iraqi soccer team that some Iraqis over there are starting to "experiment" with baseball.

So maybe you and your fellow "grunts" should put together a makeshift baseball field and invite some Iraqis over to play a game. Take lots of pictures (my offer of a video camera [LOANER] is still standing). Make sure ANY journalist who comes to cover the games (league?) signs over all rights of the story to ME, and you can even (potentially) walk away from this war with something in your pocket.

That is, if you're not too busy being a lazy soldier all day long.


We tried to teach some Iraqis how to hit a baseball a couple months ago while we were out on patrol (humvee flipped in a ditch and we ended up out there for 10 hours, but that's another story). It was bizarre seeing a grown man who did not know how to hold a baseball bat properly. I think we were using part of a palm frond or something for a bat, which didn't help any.

I'm not to excited about inviting random Haji's into my camp. We are all going to get rich on Iraqi Dinar speculation anyway.
