It's very much like Azul in its mechanics, that it's pretty, and that the point is to load up your board in such a way that you maximize your points while denying your opponent the opportunity to do that.

The difference in strategy is that it's possible to influence the currently-fashionable art by making in-game choices: the scoring depends heavily on the whims of the art market which pay attention to that.

Basically it's Azul but you can affect "what is worth what at the end" which adds another layer.
