The aesthetic clearly came first, followed by the gameplay and then the story. It's a small game studio, I'm willing to grant them a little grace on the story part.
Right now I would just would have liked a little more handholding re: "here's how the map works in your car so as to not get lost." I feel a little silly looking up a YouTube tutorial on "how to not die in minute 15 of a video game, immediately after the tutorial ends." That is, if the tutorial is even over!?
Dying is fun, I learned that from Dwarf Fortress. :( |
