I can't remember why, I assume it was for some medical reason. Or he could have been adventurous or just have a very specific fetish. At any rate, his verdict was that it makes no difference whatsoever to sensation or pleasure. Makes sense. It's not like missing foreskin will cause the tip to dry out or the rest of the shaft to rot off. If dudes with foreskins want to imagine how much sensation they'd lose, then they need only root around their foreskin with their fingers for a bit and see how it feels because they'd lose about that much.
I also read an article that evolutionary biologists believe that the tip of the male penis evolved the way it did because it serves to draw out competing loads of dry brambles that have been blown into the wombs of women1. Setting aside that either early human females were the hottest sluts ever or that early civilization was some pre-post-apocalyptic rapefest2, if that assessment is true then losing the foreskin is going to be pretty irrelevant in today's mostly monogamous, mostly consensual society.
