It's an unnecessary remake for a game that was entirely played for the story. Once you know the story, even get all the endings, what is the point? Why would you pay $70 for it again?
Nothing at all about any of the previews suggest it's going to be a totally retuned and worthwhile Gamecube Resident Evil 1 style remake. At best, it's going to be a pointless Resident Evil 4 remake that does nothing to improve the original, makes it worse in some areas, and even that's being too generous because Resident Evil 4 wasonly partially about the story.
Are the people excited for this simply unaware of Bloober Team's track record? The people behind Portraits of Fear, The Medium, and Blair Witch (and a whole lot of obscure sholveware) are going to improve the Silent Hill 2 experience to the tune of $70 of value? Fuck right off.
