It's fine. Sometimes authors confuse stream of consciousness nonsense with something anyone would ever want to read. For a game that got praise for its writing, a lot of it was nonsense in the same way it was in Hotline: Miami. I played for about 5 hours, figured out what was going on in the game, see that total time to complete is 23 to 46 hours and haven't been back. I'd give it like a 6 out of 10, I guess, from what I saw.


The Outer Worlds


It's fine. You know how Deus Ex: Human Revolution sort of became the poster child for games where they were happy to show you all the awesome PHYSICS they could do now, and nothing was nailed to a surface, so trying to walk into a room caused every single object to go flying? The Outer Worlds is exactly like that for me, except with ugly characters. Every single NPC in the game is sooooooooooo obviously not a good looking person because good looking people is privilege or something. Every single time I go to talk to someone, I am reminded of the Red Letter Media "What's wrong with your faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace" sound bite. It's ok, I like it more than I liked Starfield. I just assumed it was 100 hours to finish, but I am seeing that it's more like 13, maybe I would finish it one day.

Outer Wilds


Haven't bought or played this one.

The other 2 are ok. They are competent, they run well, they look and sound nice. Maybe it's me and I can't get more excited any more.
