| How to get rid of crime! Because in this game, it's like a gas that expands to fill whatever volume it lives in. High crime means that your citizen leaders have a higher chance of having the "criminal" tag, which is hilarious, and then having criminal leaders leads to higher crime. Super good! :( Currently, any leader I have that has that tag, I assign to a constructor. I have no idea what happens to them after that, but I'm hoping that's like sending them to siberia. Lotsa unknowns in this game still.
From reading the forums, I learned that the Minister of Justice or the Colonial Bureaucracy tech will give you a security improvement that will do this. Alternatively, the Social Ties culture option in the Traditionalism branch will reduce crime. I don't have either yet and crime is threatening to be a problem on my homeworld. This is an area of the game that I expect to undergo one or more (maybe several) iterations as they fiddle with things. The unofficial release date for Supernova is sometime in August btw. No promises but that's what they're shooting for. |
