| RESONANCE CASCADE
Resonance Cascade is a Half-Life 2 mod that puts players in the shoes of an unassuming scientist, Dr. Richard Simmons, working at Black Mesa during the fateful experiment that caused the infamous resonance cascade. Players will experience the chaotic events from an entirely new perspective, using their wits and scientific knowledge to navigate through the facility, save their colleagues, and uncover the truth behind the experiment. Fussbett: Wow, a Half-Life mod that goes back to the original game's story? Groundbreaking. conflictNo: Dr. Richard Simmons? Really? Jhoh Cable: At least it's not another "Gordon Freeman's long-lost cousin" storyline. Fussbett: I wonder if Dr. Simmons will have to do aerobics to save the world. conflictNo: So, will we be using crowbars or just lab equipment? Jhoh Cable: I bet the final boss is a giant Bunsen burner. Fussbett: Finally, a chance to experience the resonance cascade from the perspective of a guy who's not saving the world. Jsoh Cable: This mod sounds like a great opportunity for Dr. Simmons to losesome weight. You know, with all that running away from aliens and stuff. Jhoh Cable: Can't wait to use my PhD in theoretical physics to solve puzzles and avoid getting eaten by headcrabs. conflictNo: I bet Dr. Simmons' special ability is to bore the enemies to death with lengthy scientific explanations. Fussbett: Black Mesa scientists are known for their combat skills, right? Jhoh Cable: Maybe we'll find out the whole resonance cascade was just a big misunderstanding, and Dr. Simmons will have to attend a series of conflict resolution workshops. Fussbett: Resonance Cascade: the mod where the real challenge is surviving the tedium. conflictNo: I'm sure this mod will be a hit with all those people who've been clamoring for a less exciting version of Half-Life. Jsoh Cable: This mod should have been called "Half-Life: The Untold Boring Side Stories." |
