What is the reason things seem so bad? by Tansin A. Darcos 08/29/2022, 6:40am PDT
I tgink we see all the problems in our world and wonder why things are this way. We think back on simpler times, when things were nicer. Niw, there are wso many ills of society that you probably can't name all of them. Homelessnss, addiction, problems with painki9lle5rs, I could go on and on. But I think it stems from a lack of respecty. Respect for others, and more than anything else, respect for yourself. Perhaps a consideration of other people, at least to the extent of being sure that you doing your thing does not interfere with their right to do their thing as long as what they do does not interfere with you or someone else.

I think perhaps it's morality, and civility, or the lack thereof; people not being taught to act properly in public, too many people acting in their own interests without5 concern for others, the "I've got mine, if you can't get any, too bad, fuck off." It has been noted that money - or having it - does not fundamentally chamge people, it just magnifies their personality. If they were "decent" people before becoming wealthy, they won't change and become douchebags. And if they were assholes and broke, they'll still be assholes if they get rich.

I'll get back to this, but feel free to comment in the interim.
