Thunderbird is probably still the main one you should try if you haven't already. It's still very actively developed. I used to use it many years ago in a corporate setting and it was... fine. It kind of has the flavor of an old-fashioned web browser. The user is assumed to not be an idiot, and there are a lot of settings. It's always a great feeling when you get the settings right and the emails start to show up in your mailbox.
KMail exists but it's only for Linux. Mainly I think this is one of those programs that you use if you're drinking the KDE kool-aid, which I never did.
There's mutt for the turbonerds. Basically, if you like vi, mutt is vi but for email. I used to use that one too for a while. It really is good, but you can't see images with it (it's all text). |
