Turns out the way to make a good Backrooms game is to not bother trying to stick to any particular lore, and just make an interesting, fun, creepy adventure out of it. The game has a story, a few mild puzzle elements, a few mild platforming elements, adds a hefty dose of Stranger Things, but keeps just enough of the basic Backrooms elements and liminality to qualify as a true Backrooms game. Takes about an hour to complete, and it's free! What's not to like? |
