| I've seen no other podcast with better thumbnails, he wins, these photographs this guy is taking are the most important thing about Soft White Underbelly. The host agrees with me, I saw another podcast interviewing him. He started out simply photographing people, and only thought to start interviewing them later, which became the Podcast. He used to be a commercial photographer for clients like Apple, today he has a studio off Skid Row with custom gear where he takes full body photographs of the underbelly of society. Somewhere in every episode he pans the entire photograph.
Lots of homeless, pimps and whores, addicts of all kinds, actual honest-to-God in-bred hillbillies living in Appalachia (a popular video with many follow-up interviews), but he interviews a prison warden and a cop, a hacker or some college students. You never know. Every other damn interview show is with or about celebrities and their horseshit. So addicts and crazy street people are not known for telling the truth. But you know what, listening to these people anyway, some addict spinning some yarn probably has less a chance of being complete bullshit compared to the next interview with the next bloated movie star. I like the prostitute interview about her encounters with multiple serial killers. That must be a really irritating problem to have when nobody cares if you die, all the damn serial killers. Anyway I like the pretty pictures. |
