Still playing the shit out of it. Either that or have goals, I guess.
I'm used to the sectors now, and like the concept more than at first, but it feels confining and not-open-universe-y. You can populate them and get a jump on declaring war on the guy in the next sector. I like playing with rare planets, rarer habitable worlds and limited resources. You can buy resources easily in the new marketplace after installing a Finance minister so just make money, which is easier overall than III.
It's buggy and things like the click-drags to prioritize builds don't work half the time. They do seem to have given you more ways to fix your bad decisions. You can buy the loyalty of your leaders, which I love. I keep restarting with new races, so I have no idea of the end game or even mid-game. Apparently some plot stuff kicks in once you've gone a few hundred turns. |
