I was in a shitty situation once. Afterwards, a guys was walking back and forth like he was in shock. I went up to him and said, "This is why I hate Mondays." I know that's barely a joke, more like a Garfield bumper sticker, but it was the best I could do at the time. He took a second to process it and then burst out laughing. Then we both sat down and took a load off.
I don't think the situation in Ukraine is as rosy as the propaganda suggests. It took the US 26 days to take Baghdad, and they were being a lot more liberal with the indirect fire than the Russians seem to be. When they take the gloves off, shit's going to get real thermobaric, real fast. And my country isn't going to do shit to stop them except cluck tongues.
If someone from Ukraine's reading this, the best we might be able to do is make them laugh. So let's get on that huh? |
