Witcher season 2 by getting better 12/20/2021, 1:10pm PST
So far it's a major improvement over S1. No more separate timeline nonsense. The Geralt monster of the week plots now take up over half the episodes, with Siri merged in so no more of her boring separate plot (she was the Bran of season 1).

The other plot is Yennifer and the Nilfgaard invasion, which isn't terribly compelling but at least it's not Siri boring.

There's still so much stuff they haven't established and dumb plot points they keep hammering. The whole "law of surprise" thing was so stupid and is being treated as the most sacred important thing ever. Nilfgaard is treated as being this world-ending evil but so far they haven't shown why. Hell, they come across as less evil than the "good" guys who abduct children into their organizations then sacrifice 80% of them.

And the most unneeded Witcher plot point ever: Geralt's childhood and mommy issues. WHY? Nobody needed or wanted to see child Geralt, or adult Geralt pouting at his mom's ghost vision. Why in the fuck did they decide to pull a prequel Anakin with Geralt of Riveria?

The straight up Baba Yaga demon was dumb. The Witcher was always great for putting its own original spin on monsters, even ones based on classics (Bruxa =vampires). Then they copy Baba Yaga and her chicken hut, in a moment that's supposed to be terrifying. :(

Also Season 2 distinctly lacks a "Toss a Coin to your Witcher"-tier song. by MM 12/29/2021, 9:08am PST NEW
