Early-game monsters/pirates are too hard.
There are no good planets anywhere.
There are ten billion space-junks to pick up, but it quickly becomes tiresome since there's so many of them and there's not enough variety.
Food is your enemy, and you don't get any food techs unless it happens to come up randomly, which sometimes it doesn't.
There's a lot wrong, but it feels like Alpha-wrong, not game-design wrong.
My dear, sweet Brad is in the comments agreeing with a lot of this, so I know babe will make it right.
