New version was rolled out June 1. "easier to use", "compact" new UI
You probably guessed that this means useful shit is now hidden by default, and a pain in the ass to undo involving downloading custom CSS files
It took me forever to figure out how to re-implement the functionality and UI they killed with 57. In a sick turn of events, of course, there's now a new useless UI bolted on with even less icons, color, or customization (because we have to do it like Chrome). One of the big reasons I jumped to Firefox back in the day was because you could easily customize and extend the browser itself with CSS & JS.
Silver lining: source is available, Bad News: it's tedious to hunt down & revert all the UI changes which usually ends up breaking the build due to some obscure dependency. Guess I'm stuck with a custom 88.0.1 for a while.
