| You start the game with (dead?) Joker laying down in an incinerator. I guess. It eventually nudges you to press the space bar and some flames appear with a sound. You are expected to know to hold the space bar down to cook his corpse.
The game uses an autosave. A small 75 pixel icon will appear at certain times, you will never notice it again and when you go to the menu you will have no idea when the last time it saved was. It could easily give you a screenshot or timestamp when it last saved. It amazes me that, "lol fuck you and guess" is the default implementation for autosave. I don't even mind the concept so much anymore, it's not knowing when it saved that bugs me. It isn't as fun swinging around Gotham as it is to swing around NYC as Spider-Man. But it's fun enough. I was getting the hang of it. Beating up trash mobs as Batman is always awesome. They gotta lock the Batmobile up though. Nobody did more damage in the time I played than me as Batman in his car. Didn't see any performance issues. I think there is a good game here. ICJ |
