So I was looking on Newegg for routers and I find this thing. It looks like a decent cheap-as-dirt router. But what the hell are these features? Supports StarCraft and mIRC? What the fuck is that supposed to mean? "Allow to set 24 Virtual Server"? "Super manager"? But the best is the "natural firewall". Some rocks and plants accumulated in there and now they help block unwanted packets, I guess. I bet that originally said NAT firewall before the COMPLETELY ILLITERATE Xterasys tech writer took over. I thought for sure that this was a Korean company based on the spelling and grammar, but it turns out they're in City of Industry, CA. So either that's sko Korean ghetto or the person doing the writing at that company is a hyper-retarded monkey.
Other stuff: they claim that their products are stylish. I guess retro 70s cassett player is the style they were shooting for? Is their motto supposed to be a quote from Aliens? And don't miss their incredibly legal-sounding disclaimer.
I think I'm going to pass on this. Cheap is nice, but falls-apart-in-your-hands cheap is what this looks like to me. Next up: Gigafast routers! Sounds really fast to me! |
