So will it be another Sanctus Reach or another Mechanicus? by MM 02/09/2021, 8:34am PST Sanctus Reach has excellent gameplay but shit aesthetics. Mechanicus has awesome aesthetics but shit gameplay. As for why warhammer? I guess Dawn of War 1 was such a show-stopper at the time in terms of graphics and voice-acting people have been chasing after the memory of that game for years since. Or maybe the fact that 40K is written as such a ludicrous backwards-thinking dystopia that every nerd reading the lore can feel all smart and superior when the body-horror cyborg is willing to send hundreds of soldiers to their death in order to spread some incense through the enemy base for superstitious reasons.
