| Fuck Dell. Build it yourself. Putting together a computer is marginally more difficult than plugging in an old nintendo and inserting a cartridge as there are screwdrivers involved. Get a big tower, buy all the accessories you need/want and a motherboard that can handle them and you'll get something as decent as Dell can make without having to pay extra to fund those endless commercials about how fucking incompetent their interns are. I'm sure the other guys here have plenty of good suggestions on what specific hardware to get.
Also, tech support should never be a consideration in buying a computer. My experience is that you wait a half hour to get a service guy who then asks you moronic questions like "Is your computer plugged in?" "Did you hit the power button?" If you've got your laptop to futz on the internet with, you have access to a much smarter and gayer tech support base for free than Dell's hired dipshits. Plus, d00d! If you build your own machine you can tOtAlLy r1c3 it uP!!!!!! Giant sPOIL3r F1nZ!!!!! |
