The United States Chemical Safety Board, a government agency I didn't even know existed until today, realesed this video explaining how an explosion at BP's Texas City, Texas refinery occurred about 15 years ago. It's very well done, very informative, and even if you know nothing about how refineries work (I didn't) you will learn a great deal.
By the way, they don't mention this, but BP has a terrible safety record in the industry, not even counting the Deepwater Horizon disaster.
I would love to know what software was used to make this animation as it looks great and was superbly done.
