The latest game by the people behind Renowned Explorers, one of the more interesting and certainly most involved of the FTL-clones.
The marketing is misleading, it's not a populous clone, it's a sports-management game. You're creating and training a squad of missionaries to take part in ritualized public debates/brawls called "sacrements" to convince a village of people to convert to your new gods. Before each battle you have 3 days to train your dudes' stats, build facilities to expand your options for boosting them, and bit-by-bit create the tenets and customs of your religion, each with their own hidden bonuses to adapt your strategy to. Aside from arranging your 3 guys beforehand, battles are purely hands-off affairs. It's how well you managed the metagame to create the right mix of classes with the most efficient stat growth levels that wins the day.
I should hate this game, but I find its loop infectious.
