But that brings up a question I was meaning to ask in a few days: "What's the Caltrops update schedule like?"
a) update willy nilly, whenever a new review/article is presented and ready, bumping the oldest review/article off the front page/side menu.
b) update on a schedule, three new reviews, three new articles. Could be weekly, or bi-weekly, or it could be a split -- three new reviews this week, three new articles next week.
c) update on a schedule, but one new review/article per update. Could be every other day, could be weekly.
Remember, this is the beginning when the articles come fast and furious -- you should consider how it'll be in a month when everyone is sick of writing and out of ideas.
I'm probably going to kick out installment 4 of FitM tonight or tomorrow. Bill already has several articles ready. Meanwhile other people take longer to write or have less of a regular shtick. I think it's gay to keep everything on the same schedule at that rate.
I figure people who have a backlog, like Bill and Creex, can afford to pull the weight of This Week's Update or whatever - they're the Photoshop Phriday of Caltrops. They aren't actually working on a weekly schedule, they're just tossing lots of stuff out and that gives the site managers the opportunity to store up for hard times. PS: I'm really damp for the idea of This Week's Update including Bill's one-man football smear campaigns/roundups during the season. Meanwhile, less regular contributors can have their stuff posted as it comes in: this is both encouraging immediate gratification and also suitable to tide over readers waiting, pantingly, ardently, for whatever day it is that get the next FitM up. |
