Google doesn’t really give customers a line to developers at any point. So no matter how caring you are as an engineer, the Google apparatus will continue to pulp customers into a nutritious financial slurry for the feeding tanks.

Advertisers interact with Google through a web site. There’s no sales team per se as far as I know. Google will not call you and won’t let you call them. There is some kind of email support I guess.

I still see Legal and Marketing as having way more power and prestige in software companies than a Principal Software Architect III does, but YMMV here too.

Maybe. Google has historically bern ruthless about killing projects whose numbers were bad.
