3,500 Smurfs Gather to Break World Record Despite Coronavirus Outbreak
Thousands of people in France donned blue body paint and white hats in order to break the world record for the largest gathering of Smurfs.
Despite concerns of the spread of COVID-19 throughout Europe, 3549 individuals in their best Smurf cosplay turned up in the town of Landerneau, France to set the Guinness World Record, according to Agence France-Presse.
...
“ We figured we wouldn't worry, and that as French people we wouldn't give up on our attempt to break the record," one wannabe Smurf said in the clip. "Now we're champions of the world ... there's no risk. We're going to Smurferize the coronavirus!"
