| CBS/Paramount is trying to lure people ro its underpowered and overpriced streaming service CBS:All Access with a new Star Trek-based (apparently short) TV series Star Trek:Picard where Patrick Stewart reprises his role as (now retired Admiral) Jean Luc Picard as he ends up having to go on a private mission to discover something, due to recent discoveries and events in his past.
I really think any organization that thinks they can support a streaming service or a network on one series even if it includes their back catalog, is kidding themselves right into Chapter Eleven bankruptcy. CBS' full lineup is available free on broadcast and probably over the Internet for Cable and Satellite TV subscribers. Unless they plan to pull theor entire back catalog off Amazon, All of their Star Trek series before Enterprise and maybe even then or later, are availible at no extra charge as part of a subscription to Amazon Prime. Anyway, the Pilot episode has been released for free on YouTube, and t 46 minutes is comparable in length to a broadcast episode.
