I don't want to re-download something I already have. Converting video formats takes a huge amount of time as well, if I wanted to go that route.

I'm pretty sure that the Raspberry Pi doesn't have a good enough CPU to play most video formats. I'm not interested in dealing with stuttering video.
It would be nice to have something with lower power consumption, but I doubt it's going to be an ARM server. They just haven't made it far enough into the mainstream yet. |
